2008 BSFA Award Winners

At Eastercon LX, the 2009 British national science fiction convention, the winners of this year's British Science Fiction Association (BSFA)'s awards were announced Saturday (see this pdf of The Voice, the at-con newsletter).

This year's winners are:

Best Artwork: Andy Bigwood for the cover of Subterfuge, edited by Ian Whates (the award was presented by Jon Courtenay Grimwood)

Best Short Fiction: "Exhalation" by Ted Chiang, published in Eclipse 2 (the award was presented by Alastair Reynolds)

Best Non-Fiction: Rhetorics of Fantasy by Farah Mendlesohn, published by Wesleyan (the award was presented by Ken MacLeod)

Best Novel: The Night Sessions by Ken MacLeod (the award was presented by Tim Powers)
