New Realms of Fantasy art guidelines, and a promotion

By Ian Randal Strock

Realms of Fantasy's Assistant Editor Douglas Cohen will be retaining that job under the magazine's new ownership, but he's also been promoted to Nonfiction Editor and Art Director. Under that latter title, he's issued new art submission guidelines. One of the biggest changes he and the magazine will be instituting with art is that covers will now be chosen from commissioned interior art, rather than purchased as separate covers. Realms will be paying $450 for interior art, with a $200 bonus for the piece chosen for the cover. For full details on submitting art to the magazine, see this entry.
