Targeted publishing workshops for adults in New England

By Ian Randal Strock

Publisher, editor, author, and teacher Leigh Grossman of Swordsmith Productions tells us that "beginning this month I'm running a series of workshops for adults on publishing-related topics. I've been teaching publishing and genre-related writing courses for years at the University of Connecticut, and I get a lot of requests for non-college versions." These new workshops will mostly be held in Pomfret, Connecticut (in the northeast corner of the state). Workshops cover the gamut of topics, from the business end of publishing (from both the publisher's and writer's point of view) to the nitty-gritty of writing, including advanced writing workshops. They range in length from a single, four-hour session, to 28 hours of classtime plus individual conferences, and in price from $50 to $600.

For full descriptions of the workshops, including syllabi and lengths, see this page. All workshops are limited to 12 participants each, and are scheduled for either Monday and Wednesday evenings or Saturday days.
