Presto Strange-O looking for weird fiction and non-fiction

By Ian Randal Strock

With the death of one magazine, we get word of the birth of another. Presto Strang-O expects to be a quarterly, 5.5" x 8.25" "print fiction zine about all things weird."

According to their submission guidelines< they're looking for fiction of any genre with "something weird going on in the story. Something strange." They are especially looking for humor and dark humor, and they'll look at reprints in addition to new fiction. They're also interested in non-fiction: "personal essays, recipes with strange stories surrounding them… all we ask is that its weird and/or funny." They've got an upper length limit for fiction and non-fiction of 2,000 words. They're also interested in art.

Pay rates are: $3 (flat) for pieces less than 1,000 words, $5 for longer work. $12 for cover art, and $6 for interior art. All payments via PayPal.

See the guidelines for submission address.
