Pyr buys US rights to James Barclay's "Chronicles of the Raven" trilogy

By Ian Randal Strock

British author James Barclay sold US rights to the "Chronicles of the Raven" trilogy to Lou Anders at Pyr. The three books—Dawnthief, Noonshade, and Nightchild—were originally published by Gollancz in 1999, 2000, and 2001. Anders calls the trilogy "gritty epic fantasy."

The deal was handled by Howard Morhaim of the Howard Morhaim Literary Agency in conjunction with Gollancz.
