Paper Golem reading for new anthology

By Ian Randal Strock

Lawrence M. Schoen's small press publisher Paper Golem is about to publish its second book, Alembical. Schoen and co-editor Arthur Dorrance say that the volume "extends Paper Golem's commitment to the genre by focusing on the novella, an all-too-often underappreciated length. Alembical gives voice to four of the field's most dynamic writers at the powerful novella length, leaping from sub-genre to sub-genre, and leaving the reader breathless in the process." The four authors are Jay Lake, Bruce Taylor, James Van Pelt, and Ray Vukcevich.

Hard on the heels of this imminent publication, Schoen writes that they're "open to submissions." Specifically, he's looking for submissions for next year's anthology, and reading original fiction in the range of 20,000 to 40,000 words. Submissions should be sent as rtf attachments to papergolemsubs at gmail dot com.
