Harlan Ellison gets stented

By Ian Randal Strock

Susan Ellison, in Rabbit Hole #45, reports that Harlan Ellison [he's the one on the right in this photo] had a stent inserted to treat his Coronary Artery Disease in early August. She writes "The nimble fingers of Dr. Ronald Karlsberg fired a coronary stent up Harlan's femoral artery. Harlan was awake for this, having eschewed anaesthesia he was too cheap to pay for as an additional cost. Since I've always believed that my husband is immortal, he sailed through the operation and was home by 9:00AM the following morning."

Ellison is also being treated for extreme anemia, but prospects look good.
