Ex-Helix authors create Transcriptase for their archived stories

By Ian Randal Strock

Beth Bernobich writes "In answer to the recent controversy over Helix SF and the actions of its senior editor, William Sanders, a number of Helix authors have created a new website, Transcriptase. The authors offer their stories and poems at Transcriptase so that you can enjoy their work away from Helix, if you choose." We discussed the issue in this article, though Transcriptase has more in-depth coverage of the controversy on this page (which includes the now-infamous rejection letter).

Authors with content available on Transcriptase include: Mike Allen, Elizabeth Barrette, Beth Bernobich, Maya Bohnhoff, Eugie Foster, Sara Genge, Samantha Henderson, Janis Ian, N.K. Jemisin, Vylar Kaftan, Ann Leckie, Yoon Ha Lee, Margaret Ronald, Jennifer Pelland, Vaughan Stanger, and Rachel Swirsky.
