WorldCon 2009 membership rates increasing

Membership rates for Anticipation, the 2009 World Science Fiction Convention, will increase on 1 August 2008. Currently, attending memberships are $190 (US/Canadian) or £95 or €130 or ¥20000. On 1 August, those rates go up to $215/£110/€135/¥23000.

Child and supporting rates will only change due to exchange rate fluctauations. Child memberships are $75/£40/€50/¥9500, and they'll change to $75/£40/€60/¥8500. Supporting memberships, currently $55/£30/€35/¥6000, will become $55/£25/€35/¥6000.

Anticipation, the 67th World Science Fiction Convention, will be held 6-10 August 2009 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Guests of Honor include Neil Gaiman, Élisabeth Vonarburg, Ralph Bakshi, Taral Wayne, Tom Doherty, David Hartwell, and Julie Czerneda.
