May 1, 2008
Husband and wife publishing duo Frank and Renee Rocco are launching Lyrical Press, Inc., a "small press house, publishing both digital books as well as POD trade paperback books," printed by Lightning Source and distributed by Ingram. They're planning to publish everything as e-books, and also do paper releases of books longer than 70,000 words (about six months after the electronic release).
Renee writes "I am a multi-published author and have taken what I've learned from having been in this industry for nearly three years and applied it to LPI." She also says "we're excited to launch 5 May and are actively seeking the science-fiction and horror genres.
Their writers' guidelines are on this page. They're also reading for two anthologies of ghost stories (see this page). All of their projects are paid on a royalty-only basis (no advances).
