Winners of The New Weird contest announced

Editor Jeff VanderMeer announces that he received more than 80 entries for his New Weird contest (see this article for the announcement of the contest). The three winners, who will each receive a copy of every anthology VanderMeer and his wife, Ann, edit between now and 2010, are:

Divers Hands for "The Pied Piper of the Parking Garage"
Lane Bowen for "A Tale of Pigs, Hatchets, and Babies"
Nadine Wilson for "Santa Land!"

The three Honorable Mentions, who will each receive a personalized copy of the New Weird anthology, are:

Matt Betts for "Big Horse/Dog"
Catherine Cheek for "Speaking Cat"
Spencer Pate for "Cricket Cookies"
