Hachette Audio becoming Digital

By Ian Randal Strock

Little Brown UK is renaming its Hachette Audio imprint "Hachette Digital." The imprint will incorporate audio publishing, e-books, and "general digital strategy and on-line initiatives." Sphere paperback publisher David Shelley will assume responsibilities as the digital publisher, and George Walkley will become both director of digital strategy and marketing director for Orbit. His responsibilities include "digital warehousing and asset management; liaising with sister companies in the Hachette Livre group, e-book providers and other third parties; and technical issues."
