Lee, Miller, and Liaden Updates

Sharon Lee and Steve Miller (and their SRM Publishing) report that the printer has delivered Liaden Universe Companion Volume Two in both hardcover and trade paperback. They've begun shipping pre-ordered books in, but they expect it to take several weeks to fill all of the pre-orders. Ordering information is available at this page.

They've also announced the title of their 2007 Yule Chapbook: Dragon Tide. The chapbook will contain two original short stories, "Daughter of Dragons" (contiguous with the Agent of Change sequence), and another, as-yet-untitled story which is set within the Crystal timeline. Pre-orders for the $10 chapbook (which will be signed by both authors) are open on this page.

On 8 October, Lee and Miller posted Chapter 31, the final installment of their on-line serialized novel Fledgling. The full text of this early draft is now available. Lee and Miller will now be rewriting/fixing up the novel in a less public second draft. They plan to have it finished and printed as a trade paperback to send to "qualifying subscribers" next Autumn. They also expect to announce "a new serialized novel continuing the Life and Times of Theo Waitley, early next year."
