Clarion Names 2008 Instructors

The instructors for next year's Clarion Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Workshop have been announced. The first four weeks will be taught by Kelly Link, James Patrick Kelly, Mary Anne Mohanraj, Neil Gaiman (one week each). The final two weeks will be the responsibility of the teaching team of Nalo Hopkinson and Geoff Ryman.

The 39-year-old Clarion workshop is a six-week, intensive writing workshop. Next year will be its second at the University of California, San Diego, where it will run from 29 June to 9 August. Applications will be accepted starting 2 January 2008, and the application deadline will be 1 March 2008.
