Actor Bart Burns Dies

Actor Bart Burns died 11 July 2007. Born George Joseph Burns on 13 March 1918 in New York City, he was a captain in the US Marines during World War II, earning two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star.

As an actor, he appeared on Broadway, in movies, and on TV shows for five decades. He first appeared on television in a 1953 guest role; his last appearance was the 1988 film Fear.

His genre appearances include the made-for-TV movies Earth II (1971) and Sole Survivor (1970), and guest appearances on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1967), The Twilight Zone (1963), and Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond (the 1959 episode "Ordeal on Locust Street").
