Hadley Rille's Ruins to be Two Books

By Ian Randal Strock

Eric Reynolds of Hadley Rille Books says that the previously announced anthology Ruins, for which they're still reading, is being split into two volumes: terrestrial and extraterrestrial.

The main reason for the split is that they "received many submissions and of those there are many more than enough stories with merit (that fit the guidelines). And we really don't want to reject those good stories just because there isn't room. (And we're still reading submissions, quite a few to go through.)" And since the stories they're accepting seem to divide themselves neatly into two complementary categories—those that take place on Earth and are realistic, and those take place off Earth—they've divided the anthology into two volumes.

They expect to publish both books this summer.
