Liz Scheier now at Del Rey

Del Rey Publisher Scott Shannon and Editor-in-Chief Betsy Mitchell have hired Liz Scheier as a Senior Editor, starting today. Scheier was previously an editor at the New American Library/Penguin Group (USA), "where she acquired primarily for the Roc line, specializing in edgy, sexy contemporary and urban fantasy." Among her authors were Rachel Caine, Barb & JC Hendee, E.E. Knight, Elizabeth Bear, and Caitlin R. Kiernan.

Scheier started her career in publishing at Bantam Dell, and, after several mergers and acquisitions, is back to that company.
