Rhysling nominees for sf poetry announced

The Science Fiction Poetry Association has announced the full list of nominees for this year's Rhysling Awards. The winners will be announced at Readercon, which will be held 5-8 July at the Burlingon Marriott, outside of Boston, Massachusetts. The Rhyslings are divided in "short poem" and "long poem" categories.

This year, there are 47 nominees in the short poem category, and 32 nominees in the long poem category. Authors appearing more than once on the ballot include: Duane Ackerson (1 short, 1 long), Mike Allen (2 short, 3 long), Bruce Boston (2 short, 1 long), James S. Dorr (1 short, 1 long), Kendall Evans (1 short, 1 long), Robert Frazier (1 short, 1 long), Samantha Henderson (1 short, 3 long), Deborah P. Kolodji (2 short, 1 long), David C. Kopaska-Merkel (1 short, 1 long), John Edward Lawson (1 short, 1 long), Sandra Lindow (2 short), Jaime Lee Moyer (2 short), Lawrence Schimel (1 short, 1 long), Sonya Taaffe (1 short, 1 long), Mikal Trimm (2 long), Catherynne M. Valente (3 long), JoSelle Vanderhooft (1 short, 2 long), and Stephen M. Wilson (2 short, 1 long).
